Talk:Griffonrook Run (jumping puzzle)

I was able to complete the achievement and chest with losing the bomb halfway :). Found a splendid chest (with loot) on the intersection and went through the end and got the achievement. - Masthakiller (2013-01-03)

I made it to the end... with a bomb.... imagine my disappointment when I find an empty chest. - Mystic Boer

Yeah we should probably put something about the chest being empty in the article. Especially since you don't even have to open it to get the achievement.

I have another confirmed run with no loot from the chest. Sadness. Aidyn 14:27, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

May be obvious, but it would seem like have a friend or two that jumps before the player to hold aggro of the griffons would make this quite a bit easier. Solvar 06:15, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

As an eng, i just completed this jumping puzzle without actually having to complete it, as it were. it's possible to run up the side of the mountain beside the puzzle, and use the 5 button of your rifle to jump across into the puzzle. i was awarded the achievement without even being able to tell where the reward chest was. 111.69.12.2 22:47, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

BUGGED. I made it to the end without the bomb (just to check out the route), opened the chest, got no achievement. Went back a day later, made it to the end with the bomb, detonated it, looted chest. STILL NO ACHIEVEMENT.

Wrong chest, the right chest is further along the path, and you can only loot it with the bomb 93.213.169.179 18:58, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Indeed. The empty chest half way is confusing people hard :P

To those who say that the griffons have a poor attack animation, they only sort of do. They have their swoop and a near instant attack with decent range. Just be careful. 70.199.65.191 19:54, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

It's a complete waste of time to try and get through this with a bomb. The requirements of jumping would be hard enough within 3 minutes. To do it while never getting struck -- not once -- by a griffon are ridiculous. Not claiming it can't be done, it clearly can -- but the chest reward is not sufficient to make it worth the excess effort. It's not a matter of skill or practice -- it's plain dumbass luck. Just run through the useless POS, take the achievement, and let ANet suck your... something. >:-/

Where is this teleportation stone? I'd like to make the article on it. Blookies (talk) 12:31, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

I got to the end chest, logged out and back in, and wasn't there anymore. I had been moved to the far northern entrance to the zone. :( SpiralCee (talk) 02:33, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
