Was that the reason he was operating on the Seer body in GW1? ._. --NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon5 Anti.png 13:55, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

That was probably the precursor to the Golem's Eye. The thing Blimm was working on during the War in Kryta was blue - not a ruby. For why he was operating on the body - he was for the sake of gw1:Spectral Infusion. Though honestly, seers are not naturally infused so why it was a seer and not an Eidolon or something is beyond me. -- Konig/talk 15:13, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Define 'spoiler'[edit]

I understand why the details about who gets the Golem's Eye and what they do with it after Dougal fetches it from the crypts should remain classified until the unspoken spoiler ban is lifted, but I don't think that stating what the Eye is and what it does is a spoiler. The Eye is activated in chapter 3, and Clagg explains what it is in chapter 4. All of that happens less than 50 pages into the novel, and doesn't involve anything heavy. It takes suitable materials from its surroundings and forms a guardian golem that will continue to reform itself so long as it doesn't run out of materials or energy. I think that should be fine to add to the article, but I don't want to add it just for it to get edited out right away. Fabala011 20:05, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I seen a screenshot a while back when they were 1st releasing images of in game GW2 and it was of a elemental based monster of random things in the area. Now that uve mentioned that about the Golem's Eye it kinda fits that monsters description that was in the process of putting itself together. - 74.171.163.219 20:26, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps, but the novel implies that the Golem's Eye is the only one of its kind, and Blimm was the only asura known to have delved into the line of golemancy that also has to do with necromancy, mostly because he gave up the Eternal Alchemy near the end of his life. Clagg wanted to make awesome golems like you describe, but he never got his hands on the Eye, though he did experience its abilities firsthand. The Eye is now most likely lost to any asura who might want it, unless it is salvaged from...you know what? I'm rambling and it's irrelevant to the discussion of whether or not the Golem's Eye's main fuction is considered a spoiler or not. So I should stop that. Fabala011 21:19, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

What does the ruby make? A golem. What can a spherical ruby look like? An eye. What was the fake ruby found in? A golem statue's eye-socket. Unlikely to be a reference but witty naming. Konig/talk 05:30, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
