Add a Note?[edit]

The wording on this is strange, how does it increase your Crit Chance by 50% (Current CC + 50%) or is it [1 - (1-Current CC) * (1-0.5))]. Might want to test and note which one it is. 70.150.71.66 17:16, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

I've tested to this extent; Entering death shroud with 44% Crit Chance and observing the change on the character screen. In death shroud I had 64% Crit Chance so it appears the formula is (1.5*Current CC). But, as we all know, sometimes the character panel is wrong. In which case I'll test that later.(EDIT)Deathly Perception does not show in the character panel, what I found was the CC added by Fury. 71.254.14.193 17:46, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
I believe that all other crit chance bonuses are additive, e.g. from gear or from the stat-boosts for each trait point spent. In the absence of contrary evidence, I would assume the formula is current CC + 50%. 75.37.17.193 18:10, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
I believe the 44% -> 64% was due to you having at least 15 in Curses, which makes entering Death Shroud grant Fury. Entering Death Shroud does not give any visible improvement to crit-chance or precision in the character window. Will have to test practically to see how it works. --JunBerry (talk) 06:01, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Definitely Additive[edit]

This is a follow-up of my previous post, after I did some testing in PvP. It would seem this trait is additive (which seems absurd, if you think about it)... With 4% crit chance, entering Death Shroud with 0/0/0/0/30 while having only Deathly Perception enabled, and casting approximately 15~16 Life Blasts in a single Shroud duration, I crit 7~9 times on average... When using a Rampager Amulet to bring my base Crit-Chance up to 48%, and keeping all other factors the same, I found I was, on average, critting every single time as one would expect (48%+50%=) 98% crit chance would do. Good fun for us Death Shroud fans out there. --JunBerry (talk) 06:22, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Wrong Name[edit]

In-game, the name of this trait is Death Perception. --Nicoli20 (talk) 16:52, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Just checked and this is indeed the case. How odd! --Wingsy (talk) 17:56, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
Ditto - I was dubious too! I'm guessing a simple move wouldn't suffice, what with all the pages that link to this... — snogratUser Snograt signature.png 18:05, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
I made the Death Perception page, but changing the word Deathly to Death in the trait tables on pages such as List_of_necromancer_traits is beyond what I know how to do on here so if someone can deal with that, that would be swell. ^^ Damn tables! --Wingsy (talk) 18:12, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

Yes, Dr Ish, it seems a move really was all that was needed. The senility is setting in nicely, thanks for asking ;) — snogratUser Snograt signature.png 21:49, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
