I don't understand, I thought we were not supposed to post things that are based on datamining - I say that cuz even hiding these informations they edited, removing everything that was related to it --Keltz (talk) 21:49, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

That was my understanding aswell, that's why I covered skill/trait info so we wouldn't display it before the POI. It seems folks want to get unconfirmed data out ASAP. – Valento msg 22:55, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, people are very excited. Though this last datamine probably has the closest numbers and skill info but I think we should be like, hiding them until the PoI... I mean adding the lines but hiding them, but I guess its kinda late now XD --Keltz (talk) 23:12, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
I used to think this was the mentality as well, but recently I noticed that the Druid article has been around since January of this year. To the best of my knowledge, the Druid has never been confirmed as the elite spec of the ranger. Reading the article, if you want to call it that, reveals no sources for the data. This is a pure example of speculation. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 18:11, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
Druid was revealed in the PAX South panel, making it the first one we knew about... Mora 18:14, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
Is there any form of documentation we can add to the article to make it appear less like speculation then? Due to the fact that there has been no "official" release. Venom20 User Venom20-icon-0602-sm-black.png 18:19, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
There ain't such a thing as "form of documentation". It's simply a case of practice, we don't write things 100% based off data-mining. We let the tables' headers uncovered and wait until we get tooltips from the POI. Well, I thought that's how we were doing. – Valento msg 18:26, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
Unless it is presently in the playable game, then anything should be documented with an outside reputable source. Without being able to back up claims of sorts, I could go ahead and create a Bombardier page and claim that this would be the Engi's spec. The reason that this cannot be done is lack of supporting documentation. Data mining is a grey area due to the fact that although the data can be pulled, there is speculation towards what it can mean. As an example of what I mean here is an album of daredevil trait icons, but it would be speculative to assign each icon to a skill at the present moment. The only place on the page that the fact that this is an elite THIEF specialization is at the link at the bottom. Should be mentioned near the top. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.55.115.186 (talk).

That is a good point. The current introduction seems to be literally just copied and pasted from Anet so I've turned it into a quote and written a more concise one. —Azurem 15:20, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
