') finally, skills where you have to look for the weak spot <3 --The Holy Dragons 08:06, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

Potentially overpowered[edit]

It's the "auto-attack" skill and has a conditional effect. It has extreme potential to be overpowered if there are other skills which control movement to the extent the condition is always met. It reminds me of how OP rangers were in the first year of GW1. But in short: possibly a stronger auto-attack than other professions? - Infinite - talk 19:58, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

I tend to doubt that it would be OP. The opponent (if this is wvw/pvp) can always simply move to avoid the bonus damage, and the ranger is more vulnerable him/herself by positioning themselves closely with the shortbow. If a ranger is able to keep themselves constantly positioned to do the bonus damage and not have to worry about other enemies or effects..well, they're just being successful :P Do we know how the damage compares to the other weapons' auto-attacks? It does has the potential to be overpowered. The condition is too easily met for an auto-attack skill, specifically "from behind". What if the target is trying to escape? That become inflict bleeding on every hit until they bleed to death. Lightblade 21:13, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
If you are flanking, the bleed lasts for 3 seconds, in which time you can get 5 more attacks in. So, without traits or extending condition duration at all, you will get 6 stacks of bleeding out of this, with proper placement. A warrior's rifle auto attack is slower, 3/4 seconds, and causes a 6 second bleeding. So, it's base, without any modification is 8 stacks of bleeding on an auto attack, and does not require anything except that it hits.72.161.125.142 06:28, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Tiers[edit]

Removed the Tiers section as skills are no longer obtained through vendors. Omlech 00:54, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Quick Draw's (lack of) interaction[edit]

should not need to be explicitly stated here. Quick Draw explicitly states that Longbow and Shortbow skills recharge 20% faster, which has nothing to do with the attack speed. If this change is to stand, we should put the exact same note on all skills, not just Longbow and Shortbow skills, that are affected by their relevant recharge modifier trait(s). This means skills like Meteor Shower in the Elementalist line should have a note stating the trait that allows fire weapons spells to recharge 20% faster(Pyromancer's Alacrity) doesn't make it cast faster. I agree with this. Skills with no recharge are obviously not affected by things that reduce recharge times, there shouldn't be any reason to put a note like that on the skill. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 21:03, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
