After Lost Shores[edit]

What happened to him? I haven't seen him anywhere after The Lost Shores. Did he return to Wizard's Fief? --Landon144 (talk) 20:45, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

He escaped and is in hiding with Consortium lawyers trying to get him off lightly. Check Kiel's current dialogue, she'd be very interested to know where he is. :) Vahkris (talk) 21:31, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

Canach's Lair[edit]

Where is it located?

At the moment nowhere. This content is announced to be (temporary) added to the game as of the 28th of may. That will be the moment we will no bout the location 195.240.63.18 11:52, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

How to kill him: Only bleeding and Poison conditions seemed to work.

Canach Too Difficult[edit]

Single player mode: This boss kills me in 1 hit and he is invincible. Why does anet make this game impossible for ordinary players? I'm not a super maniac player with highest armor/weapons and lightning fast fingers. I just want a reasonably challenging game, not an insanely frustrating grind.24.8.249.129 15:47, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

I beat him on the first try. He barely did any damage at all, and the mechanic with the mines was pretty easy to figure out. My character has exotic equipment, but he's by no means twinked out. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 16:29, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
He can be beaten by a level 8 Necromancer with level 0 Country gear with Signet of the Locust as the only utility equipped. I did not notice a one-hit kill, although you die fast if his knockback attack knocks you into a mine. Vahkris (talk) 16:55, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Easy for ranger[edit]

With a ranger char, stow pet and diffuse on way in. When you reach him, pull him down corridor of diffused bombs. Don't hit him or pet respawns. If he uses his "restore bomb" skill, spawn pet while you defuse a bomb, then "return to me" pet to pull him into it. Shoot once, to target pet, then repeat. Use a tough melee pet, drakehound ideal because he can knock canach down when he tries to recontrol his bombs, the interrupt works well

Canach has disappeared[edit]

With The Dragon's Reach: part 1 out, I thought I'd quickly check on our plant prisoner pal here, and I found his cage was now empty. I suppose this means he's started his work with the Shining Blade. I didn't see him anywhere in Divinity's Reach, including the instances, but maybe someone more resourceful can find him. --Rognik (talk) 17:08, 31 July 2014 (UTC)

Warrior?[edit]

Do we actually know what profession Canach is supposed to be? Sure, in the videos he uses a sword and shield to fight but he seems to use an awful lit of traps and mines as well --Joachas (talk) 11:12, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

He's kind of a warrior/engineer mix mechanically. This is why I don't like that parameter on NPC pages, because technically no NPC has a mechanical profession - they just use skills from professions (and many not from professions). Konig 23:53, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
The parameter does work for NPCs like scarlet and majory who have clearly stated professions though.--Joachas (talk) 16:32, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
It's a lore profession, though; and then they just assign skills/gear specific to that profession, sometimes. Konig 18:33, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
Ah, yes. No my coment here just meant thatthere are moments when npc proffesions are appropriate... Just not in this case--Joachas (talk) 10:57, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
