Feedback 2017/08/26[edit]

Only some of the listed BL Weapons are currently available. Hopefully, one of you experienced editors can fix this page. Thanks.

Edit: Here's what's available right now: Abaddon, Keepsake, Shadow, Gargoyle, Frostforged, Privateer, Devoted, Beastslayer, Spectral, Plasma, Bloodstone. --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 07:11, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the list! That saved me a ton of hassle. I've updated the page. G R E E N E R 15:52, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, but there seem to be two missing now, Abaddon and Shadow. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 17:31, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
Abaddon's weapons are still being sold by the normal Black Lion Weapons Specialists, rather than in the vault. There's a lot of weapons listed on that page, though. I'll double check what's going on in-game later tonight. Goodness knows Anet didn't make this aspect easy on us to track ; ). G R E E N E R 22:36, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
Ooohhh. I thought this listed all the BL Weapons one could purchase inside that whole building (thought it was called 'The Vault') where Evon has his office. Is it only those BL weapons once you pass through into the tiny rooms? Because 2 (or 3?) sets are from NPCs outside the little rooms standing in the main lobby. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 22:47, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I missed that first NPC before the doors, and the miscounted the rest due to the Privateer weapons also being in there. I just went through things. Should be up-to-date. And it seems like that entry lobby area is considered Room 1 on this wiki for the vault. Thanks again for detailing it for me! G R E E N E R 06:15, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Nice. Only set missing now is the current one, Abaddon's Weapons. Sorry, I just don't know how to make those tables. Inculpatus cedo (talk) 06:39, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Abaddon's weapons are sold by the regular Black Lion Weapons Specialist, the ones you can find all around Tyria, as opposed to the ones found just in LA. I wish Anet gave these NPCs different names...
The basic idea for these tables and pages is this:
  1. New items are sold by the Black Lion Weapons Specialists found in major hubs. We'll update that page with each weapon set release.
  2. Older items are often sold just in LA by the Black Lion Weapons Specialist (The Vaults). Anet seems to modify who sells what item, and even have one of those NPCs standing in the first room, with no table of their own to carry more of the backlog. Thanks, Anet, for being consistently inconsistent ; ).
  3. Items which are no longer available, due to being locked behind doors or just not being sold at any NPC, are moved to Black Lion Weapons Specialist/historical. This allows for items to be greyed out when readers look at pages such as Cavalier Torch Skin.
I believe this is the best way the wiki can document how Anet seems to handle them. Unfortunately, it's not the most intuitive due to them all having the same name, and information being spread across three pages.
(Btw, all of this verbose explanation is for me as much as anyone else, so if ever I get confused, I can come back and look at my notes again!) G R E E N E R 16:06, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Ok. Still, when one looks at the 'The Vaults' page, and the different NPCs that reside there (to see which weapons are being sold in "The Vaults", it lists 'Black Lion Weapon Specialist' and sends one to this page. No mention of the other BLW Specialist that sells the current weapons. Or does he have a different name? Also, if you look up Black Lion Weapon Specialist (not "The Vaults" one), it says he is in Trader's Forum. No mention of one in The Vaults. I guess it doesn't matter, really. Lol, great eye again. Smacked that oddity by adding the regular NPC there. These should all be in the Eastern Ward, actually. G R E E N E R 06:04, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
Seems like plasma weapons are no longer available? --68.43.177.208 21:08, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2017/11/11[edit]

This page seems outdated. The available weapons right now are: Shifting Sands (1 ticket), War God's (2t), Keepsake (3t), Abaddon (3t), Beastslayer (3t), Devoted (3t), Privateer (1 ticket/acc bound weapon choice), Spectral (3t), Frostforged (3t) and Bloodstone (3t). The Scientific, Shadow and Gargoyle sets are no longer available. 84.186.57.136 02:21, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/06/28[edit]

I'm confused about why there are vendors listed for a fourth room. Is that the one behind locked doors? I've updated the items offered for the vendors you can talk to without breaking out of the map as of today, but I'm not sure how to verify/update anything for the fourth room. No specific NPC for "returning" Sets?[edit]

The Shadow weapons have been replaced by the Phoenix weapons. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated NPC for that set in the vaults, they can be purchased from the Weapon Specialist near the TP. I edited the page, but I'm not sure where to fit them in, as they're not available in any of the rooms (or I'm blind). Lacrisma.1540 (talk) 22:05, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

I don't see any difference between this merchant in the vaults and other black lion weapons specialists anymore, now that the small back rooms of the BL vaults are closed off. Should this page be redirected back to Black Lion Weapons Specialist and references to the different merchant in the vaults removed? I think the back rooms and their associated merchants were removed/closed off in Game updates/2020-05-26 Snb.3621 (talk) 11:17, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
