Far Shiverpeaks or nah?[edit]

So, is there a clear way to know or a way to confirm if the Bitterfrost Frontier is located within the Far Shiverpeaks or not? I'd like to know if I have to make the changes where they're needed in the edits I made yesterday on the mob pages. || LOUISE || 17:43, 22 November 2016 (UTC)

My log in icon is not the same background as the background I get for the Shiverpeaks as I had one toon in Hoelbrak and one in Bitterfrosts to check for myself and they were two different icons, so that is what I'm basing it off of. But to be 100% sure, I'll email Stephane next week, as this week is a holiday week pretty much in the US and it's unlikely I'd get a response until next week anyway. If that's what it is, no worries, I can have my bot run and switch it for you. =) - Doodleplex 18:01, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
Icons can be a bit tricky sometimes. I'm not sure since Bitterfrost is just above Frostgorge and while Frostgorge is located quite high up, it's still considered within the Shiverpeaks Mountains in the game. I'll leave my edits as they are for now and wait for confirmation. || LOUISE || 19:00, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
Wait for Daily Shiverpeak Gathering/Vista stuff. If they don't trigger, it's not the mechanical region dubbed "Shiverpeak Mountains". Not sure if it'll be part of the Far Shiverpeaks though, given that apprently the API lists as Shiverpeak Mountains. Konig (talk) 20:32, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
i'm probably taking a wild guess at it, but i'm looking at the world map and looking closely at it, it would appear to me that bitterfrost frontier (for the most part) aligns to the border of the far shiverpeaks, but actually not in the far shiverpeaks. i would say, its at the edge of the shiverpeaks mountains as it aligns nicely with to the east, a possible future map north of fireheart rise that aligns nicely with bitterfrost frontier and to the east of that, the edge of the blazeridge mountains. I would have to say that in my opinion i think that if there is a map planned in the future north of bitterfrost frontier, then i would say that that would probably be the first map that would be apart of the far shiverpeaks as it would be aligning with the blood legion homelands territory as well. Wolfraven19 03:22, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
As proven by Sparkfly Fen and Mount Maelstrom mechanically counting as Maguuma Jungle, map placement doesn't really matter too much. Konig (talk) 04:10, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
Agreed Sythe 23:45, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
So the API is updated with the new maps, and it seems like this map is part of the "Shiverpeak Mountains" (see api entry) (as stated by Konig) and that Frostgorge Sound is also classified as "Shiverpeak Mountains" (api here). Seems like this won't be considered Far Shiverpeaks. -Darqam 02:45, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
However, we cannot classify this as the Shiverpeaks because they are different. For starters, different mastery lines, different regional drops - don't think we've had a daily shiverpeaks yet or I just forgot to check but I'd bet those don't match. Mount Maelstrom and Sparkfly Fen are listed as "Steamspur Mountains" in the API last I checked (while Grove/Caledon/Brisban/Metrica/Rata are "Tarnished Coast" not "Maguuma Jungle") so I'm not sure we should list it as Shiverpeak Mountains. Kind of a hard thing to denote if it's neither... Konig (talk) 11:54, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
Maybe it belongs in both regions? Might be the only way to explain it. There's pages on the wiki already with Bitterfrost Frontier listed as Far Shiverpeaks while others have it as apart of Shiverpeak Mountains. Wolfraven19 19:55, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
Okay Stephane said it's gonna take him a bit to get back to me about where it's located, but for now: [[:File:1601952.png]] this is the different background icon I was talking about. - Doodleplex 03:41, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
The Shiverpeaks Vista daily popped up today - Bitterfrost Frontier isn't on there. Looks like it's almost certain now to be apart of Far Shiverpeaks? Wolfraven19 00:55, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
It isn't listed in the areas available but it certainly counts towards the daily achievement. I just did the vista in the sanctuary and it gave it to me. The incertainty must go on. || Louise || 01:03, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
I think it should be listed as Mountains because even though they may not have updated the text for it, Bitterfrost still counts towards it. Sythe 04:05, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
That's what i'm leaning towards too, i'm not 100 percent certain though because if i preview the zone page when editing, Far Shiverpeaks actually gives off a zone color, a darker blue. If i type in any of the other regions not accessible in the game or not mechanically having any maps belonging to that region like Deldrimor Front for example, the color stays at gray which would be the same as if no region was given for it. Its why i still think there's a slight chance it might be apart of Far Shiverpeaks still.Wolfraven19 05:21, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I'm waiting to hear back from Stephane for official confirmation as to it's location so we don't have to speculate about it. =) - Doodleplex 04:15, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

By sounds of it, it's Shiverpeak Mountains not Far Shiverpeaks. As odd as it is. Konig (talk) 04:30, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
I'm going to be moving Bitterfrost into Shiverpeak Mountains. There are no indications that this zone is mechanically part of a different region. Additionally, Lake Doric (which has the same oddities as Bitterfrost) is clearly a Krytan map (and listed as such on the Wiki). Finally, Linsey (in the Reddit thread that gave us the internal names) gave no indication of the Far Shiverpeaks having an internal name (and thus not existing). --SirrushUser Sirrush sig.jpg 01:49, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
Who is Linsey? - Doodleplex 01:56, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
Linsey Murdock is (one of) the teamlead(s) of the Living World teams. She told us about the internal region names here, there's no internal name for the Far Shiverpeaks and as such it pretty much doesn't exist. --SirrushUser Sirrush sig.jpg 02:10, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

Apparently Ember Bay and Draconis Mons have different APIs... when clearly they are part of the Fire islands. Perhaps we can place Bitterfrost back into the Farshiverpeaks? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 50.98.136.165 (talk) at 14:28, 22 May 2017 (UTC).

Feedback 2016/11/23[edit]

Maybe it's too soon, but is it possible to get a map that shows detail? The interactive map seems like the view is pulled out too far. --Inculpatus cedo (talk) 03:55, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

Working on it right now actually. =) - Doodleplex 04:02, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
Just for information, the interactive map is the way it is due to the API not giving the details yet. There is nothing we can do about that until the API updates that part, after which things will look pretty on their own. -Darqam 04:07, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
Map's up! Enjoy! - Doodleplex 04:28, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

Feedback 2016/11/29[edit]

What is going on with the Renown heart vendors lists? They are showing an error in the last item and I couldn't figure out how to fix them. If someone more wiki knowledgeable could fix it, that'd be great. --KillerRabbit.1946 (talk) 23:01, 29 November 2016 (UTC)

I was wondering the same thing. I think it may have something to do with the table interacting with the berries potentially. However, that doesn't make sense when compared to other tables for Petrified Wood Sythe 23:46, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
This seems to have gotten fixed some days ago, perhaps in the vendor table template. All good now :) --KillerRabbit.1946 (talk) 14:48, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
