That is one hell of an arrow. Is it, like, antimatter or something?! Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 19:24, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

I just hope the 'ranger' will have something even more awesome then this ;) --User:Nautaut (t) 19:39, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, if warriors get this beast skill, i can only imagine what rangers will get. Vald Wednesday User Valdimir newsigicon.png 19:40, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
What if Rangers ARE warriors? ;0 --Unending fear 19:40, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
That would be kinda disappointing. Zolann The IrreverentUser Zolann The Irreverent Mysterious Summoning Stone.png 19:41, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
Im almost sure thats not the case. =P -- Cyan User Cyan Light sig.jpg 19:44, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
/Slaps Unending for even suggesting the idea. --User:Nautaut (t) 19:45, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
Ey! Don't slap me. D; You would've slapped me for saying they were going to take out companions, or duel professions, or... --Unending fear 19:48, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Rangers will exist they are TECHNICALLY confirmed because Anet used Ranger and Pet in the sentence (in the skill combos artical).--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Uz (talk).

Mentioned=/=confirmed or else Necromancers would also be confirmed, and technically monks. Also please sign your comments using ~~~~ Eive Talk Windgrace 03:22, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
People need to remember not to take the skill demos as actual gameplay. They are there to show off the skills and what they can do, not a good example of their actual strength.--Corsair@Yarrr 03:34, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Still though, it rains tiny meteors from the sky. Skill demo or not, that's going to hurt, a lot. Eive Talk Windgrace 03:47, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Not really, I doubt it is anywhere near the 1 hit kill it was in the video. Or anywhere near 1 shot at comparable levels. Got to take these things at less than face value, it shows what it does, we have NO statistical data on it.--Corsair@Yarrr 03:50, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Got to point out, your third sentence contradicts your first 2, and your original post. But I know what you're getting at. It's obvious that these skills won't be portable 1-hit KO skills, but when viewing them as " it shows what it does" then these skills seem very powerful. But I agree, the creatures we've seen so far appear to be low level, since they never hurt the player and die in a hit or two. Eive Talk Windgrace 03:56, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

.gif?[edit]

Anyone have one? --Naoroji User Naoroji Golem - Green.jpg 11:28, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

I don't know how to make one :3. --User:Nautaut (t) 11:32, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
File:Arcing Arrow animation.gif Btw, do we have a category for animations? Chriskang 16:58, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
No, but we can make one :) --User Phnzdvn sig.pnghnzdvn 17:11, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Eh? No quivers/arrows?[edit]

While watching the Arcing shot video, I realized the charr reaches back and grabs an arrow out of what I presume to an imaginary quiver. Are they going to add real arrows as quivers later, or is this just an animation effect? Honestly, if they won't add actual arrows or quivers, I'd rather not have the animation. Because I always thought they just formed arrows out of magic. 72.81.49.132 23:33, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

The quiver is there, it's built into the armor, all stealthy like. maybe -- Konig/talk 23:46, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

I hope your right Konig. It's not that gamebreaking for me, but I would find it weird if something like that wasn't the case. ..Hmm, I forhot to log in when I posted this.. AsuranSylvari 23:58, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

At least they have bow strings. I don't care for the quiver, because that might mean 'ammo' can't really say I would like that idea. I like Konig's idea a stealthy like quiver/pouch/thing. --99.38.22.75 04:43, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

GW1 Version[edit]

Like with most of the skills, should we add a note saying that there was a GW1 version of this skill? (Unless a consensus was made regarding taking them all off while I wasn't aware) Eive Talk Windgrace 05:48, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Do a trivia section... --Naut User Naut Dark Blue Monk.png 13:25, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
GW1 version is Arcing Shot though not Arcing Arrow. Ramei Arashi 00:02, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
At the time of my original comment, this skill was named Arcing Shot. See skill videos -User Eive Windgrace Harbinger of the Deceiver.png 00:59, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
On a side note, this reminded me that I wanted to start a discussion involving archiving no longer current GW2 data. Such as skill names and icons. But alas such a discussion doesn't belong on this page and I need to go somewhere now. -User Eive Windgrace Harbinger of the Deceiver.png 01:05, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Notes[edit]

"Arcing Shot can be used by multiple professions, like all longbow skills. Anyone who wears a longbow will have this skill automaticly on his/her skill bar. " Source? --Naut User Naut Dark Blue Monk.png 13:25, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Reload[edit]

It's noted that the reload is 15 seconds, but in the animation the warrior fires a second arrow immediately after the first. So does this skill allow you to fire 2 arrows, or is there some way to shorten reload times? I'm thinking something like GW1 "Flourish" or HCT mods on your weapons. Possibly done for the sake of the video, but I was wondering nonetheless.91.177.136.156 09:17, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

You are correct in stating that this was a cosmetic change solely for the sake of the skill videos. The skill video skills have 0 recharge. - Infinite - talk 09:29, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
