Patch Changes
July 07, 2020
  • Reduced target cap from 3 to 1 in WvW.
  • Warclaw Mastery 4: This mastery no longer causes Superior Battle Maul to finish downed enemies. Instead it causes Superior Battle Maul to deal 20% bonus damage to downed enemies.
March 26, 2019
  • This skill now prioritizes finishing downed enemies before inflicting damage on nearby targets.
  • Battle Maul and Superior Battle Maul no longer add bleeding to affected enemies.
  • Updated the tooltips on the warclaw skills Battle Maul and Superior Battle Maul to reflect the proper targets and damage.
March 06, 2019
  • Reduced the maximum number of targets on the warclaw's Battle Maul skill from 10 to 3. Reduced the damage of Battle Maul by 26% in WvW.
March 05, 2019
  • Superior Battle Maul has been added to the game.

Trivia[edit]

  • Prior to the March 31, 2020 game update, up to three foes had been finished before dealing damage, suppressing kill contribution in general.
  • Prior to the July 7, 2020 game update, the damage was dealt before finishing up to three foes, granting kill contribution (e.g. loot and world experience). However, since the finisher was bound to the damage part, this skill was not able to finish foes immediately after being downed as they were invunerable for one second.
