Also triggers on overload skills.

Mechanics[edit]

  • The trait skill is also triggered by  Overload Fire.png Overload Fire as a Tempest icon small.png Tempest.
    • Fire Aura is granted at the start of the overload, as opposed to Unstable Conduit Unstable Conduit that applies it at the end, so these traits do not conflict each other.
Sometimes the target and Elementalist will gain Fire Aura.png Fire Aura.

February 25, 2020 Competitive content update:
  • (Competitive split) Reduced power coefficient from 0.6 to 0.1.
July 16, 2019
  • Fixed an incorrect damage tooltip.
  • Casting Overload Fire now triggers the trait Sunspot.
December 11, 2018
  • The damage of this trait has been increased by 20%. It no longer critically hits foes.
June 23, 2015 Specialization update:
  • Updated this trait to reflect the introduction of the specialization mechanic.
  • Added: Gain 3 seconds of fire aura when you attune to fire.
May 20, 2014
  • Fixed a bug that caused the damage skill fact for this trait to be inaccurate.
March 26, 2013
  • The Sunspot, Electric Discharge, and Earthen Blast traits no longer trigger when changing attunements while out of combat.

  • Sunspot has been added to the game.

  • Sunspots are temporary phenomena on the photosphere of the Sun that appear as dark spots compared with surrounding regions.
