— In-game description

Notes[edit]

The reduction in duration doesn't affect Alacrity gained via Persistence of Memory Persistence of Memory.
  • This applies -33% Boon duration of Alacrity to yourself. If you have 133% Boon duration, Alacrity will be applied to you as 100% duration.[1]
  • The increased critical-strike damage only affects the chronomancer, and not their illusions.
  • The increase of recharge speed by 50% means an increase to 150%, which translates to a reduction of the recharge time of skills to 66.67% of their original recharge time.
    • In WvW the increase of recharge speed by 35% means an increase to 135%, which translates to a reduction of the recharge time of skills to 74.07% of their original recharge time.

Version history[edit]

Patch Changes
January 30, 2024
  • Reduced the alacrity recharge speed from 50% to 35% in WvW only.
August 02, 2022
  • In addition to its previous effects, this trait now also increases your critical strike damage by 10% when you have alacrity. This is a multiplier to total damage dealt, not additive with critical strike damage from ferocity.
February 06, 2018
  • This trait now causes alacrity applied to you to improve skill-recharge speed by 50%, but it reduces the duration of incoming alacrity from all sources by 33%.
  • Alacrity applied to others is unaffected.
October 23, 2015 Heart of Thorns release:
  • Improved Alacrity has been added to the game.
