Hrangmer

Hrangmer, roughly translated into English as Jaws of Oblivion is a volcano located northeast of Ascalon. It is where the Burnt Warband of the Flame Legion discovered the Titans 200 years before the Searing of Ascalon. When the Burnt Warband returned to the Charr Homelands, the Flame Legion declared the Titans to be their gods and immediately swore to protect the Titans and wipe out all that opposed them. The Shamans of the other High Legions swore an oath to follow the Flame Legion and their Titan gods. The Flame Legion's dominance over charr for the next few hundred years would be assured, until the death of the Titans following the defeat of Vizier Khilbron and the subsequent rebellion led by Pyre Fierceshot, then later Kalla Scorchrazor. The defeated legion subsequently retreated northeast back to their primary citadel at the volcano.
The presence of Titans in a volcano somewhere other than Abaddon's Mouth may indicate the presence of another portal to the Rift, possibly to the Foundry of Failed Creations, which is now believed to be located within the Redeemed Realm.
