During The Edge of the Mists[edit]

On event start
Magister Jexx: We'll lose if too many of the minions get past us.
Magister Jexx: I'm equipped to bolster your combat readiness.
Arcanist Aly: We have to hold back these forces, or we're done for.
Arcanist Aly: I have something here to keep you in the fight.
Arcanist Moonrazor: We draw the line here. No enemy troops will get past us!
Arcanist Moonrazor: Got something here that'll keep you fighting.
Explorer Greyback: Hold the enemy back. We can't let them reach the marionette.
Explorer Greyback: I have something to keep you fighting.
Explorer Lissah: Don't let a single one through. Too many, and it's game over.
Explorer Lissah: I can bolster your spirits for the fight.
Talking to Magister Jexx during event
We mustn't allow a single one of Scarlet's watchwork minions to get past us, or they'll power up the aethercannon in her marionette.

Talking to Arcanist Aly during event
Keep those watchwork minions back. They're trying to get to the marionette to power up Scarlet's aethercannon!
Talk end option tango.png ''Count on me.
Talking to Arcanist Moonrazor during event
If we can hold back Scarlet's watchwork troops, we can stop her from powering up her marionette's aethercannon.
Talk end option tango.png ''Count on me.
Talking to Explorer Greyback during event
Let's shut down Scarlet's watchwork minions together, before they can power up her marionette's weapon.
Talk end option tango.png ''Count on me.
Talking to Explorer Lissah during event
Keep Scarlet's minions back, or it'll be curtains for everyone when they power up the aethercannon in her marionette.
Talk end option tango.png Count on me.
When a group begins fighting around the marionette
Scarlet Briar Hologram: This is a test of my new weapon. Please don't give up or die too easily.
Scarlet Briar Hologram: Do you like my killer marionette?
Scarlet Briar Hologram: Little ants, little ants. Running for your lives.
Scarlet Briar Hologram: You don't have much dignity, do you? It's okay. Your humiliation will end soon.
Scarlet Briar Hologram: (laugh)
When the gate in each lane becomes active
Magister Jexx: That energy field will teleport living beings now. What are we waiting for?
Arcanist Aly: That energy field can teleport us through to attack. Go!
Arcanist Moonrazor: Get through that energy field while we can! Come on!
Explorer Greyback: This is it. Head through that energy field, now.
Explorer Lissah: There's our path straight to the marionette. Run through that energy field.
When an attempt to break a chain fails
Magister Jexx: We're almost there! Don't stop now!
Arcanist Aly: Hold your ground! We haven't lost yet!
Arcanist Moonrazor: Straighten your spines! We're fighting to the end, and this ain't the end!
Explorer Greyback: Don't give up yet. We can still do this.
Explorer Lissah: We're so close! Don't lose hope! we have what it takes!
One of the following:
Scarlet Briar Hologram: Oh, why bother. You look so dejected when you lose. Just walk away.
Scarlet Briar Hologram: You're losing! Whether you know it or not!
Scarlet Briar Hologram: Your end is near. Are you afraid?
Scarlet Briar Hologram: My big, beautiful marionette is gonna break your heart.
Scarlet Briar Hologram: Hm. Are you regretting this yet?
When the first chain is broken
Magister Jexx: One of the marionette's chains has been severed.
Arcanist Aly: One of the chains has been severed. That's good! Keep up the fight!
Arcanist Moonrazor: That's one chain cut. Hold the line. Hold the line!
Explorer Greyback: One of the marionette's chains has been severed.
Explorer Lissah: One of the marionette's chains is broken.
Scarlet Briar Hologram: I love how you think you're so clever.
When the second chain is broken
Magister Jexx: Two chains down, only a few to go.
Arcanist Aly: Two chains down. Only a few left.
Arcanist Moonrazor: And another! Don't let those enemy troops get by you!
Explorer Greyback: Two chains down. Only a few left.
Explorer Lissah: Two chains down. Only a few left. Keep up the pressure!
Scarlet Briar Hologram: Ow, that hurt. (laugh)
When the third chain is broken
Magister Jexx: Countdown! Three chains zapped.
Arcanist Aly: That's three down. We're close!
Arcanist Moonrazor: Three chains gone to rust! Keep your growl on! We're making headway!
Explorer Greyback: That's three down. Keep going!
Explorer Lissah: Not many chains left. We can do this! Fight with all your might!
Scarlet Briar Hologram: You're the reason I can't have nice toys.
When the fourth chain is broken
Magister Jexx:
Arcanist Aly: Four down. We're ahead of the game!
Arcanist Moonrazor: We're four ahead. We're in a superior position here! Don't slack!
Explorer Greyback: The fourth chain is down. We're ahead!
Explorer Lissah: Four chains broken. We're almost done! Push! Push!
Scarlet Briar Hologram: You're so cute when you're on the offensive.
When the final chain is broken
Magister Jexx: Phew! We're successful!
Arcanist Aly: Success! Nice fightin', everyone.
Arcanist Moonrazor:
Explorer Greyback: Another chain has been cut. We did it!
Explorer Lissah:
Scarlet Briar Hologram: Interesting tactic. You never fail to surprise me.
Event failure
Magister Jexx: Can't...stop it! Run! Get out of here!
Arcanist Aly: Time to cut our losses. Retreat! Retreat! Retreat!
Arcanist Moonrazor: Time to cut our losses. We're outmaneuvered. Retreat and regroup!
Explorer Greyback: We couldn't stop it. Get out of here!
Explorer Lissah: This is more than we can handle. Run for your lives!
Scarlet Briar Hologram: I warned you.
Talking to Magister Jexx after Event Failure
That aethercannon is a formidable weapon. Let's not allow Scarlet to test it again here.
Talk end option tango.png I agree.
Talking to Arcanist Aly after Event Failure
That was a very loud wake up call. We need to put a stop to Scarlet's weapon testing here and now.
Talk end option tango.png I agree.
Talking to Arcanist Moonrazor after Event Failure
All my ears are ringing. Let's not let her fire that weapon off again if we can help it.
Talk end option tango.png I agree.
Talking to Explorer Greyback after Event Failure
Scarlet's aethercannon really packs a punch. Let's make sure she doesn't get another chance to test it here.
Talk end option tango.png I agree.
Talking to Explorer Lissah after Event Failure
That was awful. We should do everything we can to make sure she doesn't set that weapon off again.
Talk end option tango.png I agree.
Talking to Magister Jexx after event success
I suspect this wasn't Scarlet's last weapon test here. She'll continue to test her marionette prototype until it's ready for whatever she's planning.
Talk end option tango.png I see what you mean.
Talking to Arcanist Aly after event success
We managed to shut down her test this time, but I doubt Scarlet's finished here.
Talk end option tango.png I see what you mean.
Talking to Arcanist Moonrazor after event success
Nice work. The marionette's gone for now, though I doubt Scarlet's done with her weapon testing here.
Talk end option tango.png I see what you mean.
Talking to Explorer Greyback after event success
Would you look at that? We chased Scarlet's puppet back up to it's portal. Wish I believed she was done testing it here.
Talk end option tango.png I see what you mean.
Talking to Explorer Lissah after event success
It retreated. Don't hold your breath though. My guess is it'll be back, eventually.
Talk end option tango.png I agree.

Notes[edit]

  • If this event fails, every player in the Lornar's Pass zone is defeated, although occasionally one or two are not. Even viewing a vista, which usually makes players invulnerable, does not protect them from being defeated. This can be mitigated by logging out before or just after the "Event Failed" message appears, then logging back in a few seconds later.
  • The original friendly npcs were replaced with the Edge of the Mists release.
  • Occasionally Explorer Lissah will disappear from lane 5- if this happens, none of her dialog will play and no defender buff will be applied to players in this lane.
  • Ally's Aid: Energized, Ally's Aid: Featherfoot, Ally's Aid: Hearty, Ally's Aid: Powered Up, and Ally's Aid: Strength are applied by allies during this event.
  • Energy Field Sickness, and Electrified Aura are also involved in the event.
