Walkthrough[edit]

The event uses the same mechanics as Guild Races or mount races, in that you must navigate a trap-laden course full of enemies while under the effects of a transformation. You will "score points" by reaching milestones, finishing the race, and attacking bonus targets. A single race will not satisfy the instructor, so either you will need to have multiple players run the course, or you will need to run it many times by yourself.

Instructions

To begin, interact with the Wurm Spoor object. This will transform you into a Junundu Wurm and replace your skill bar with Junundu skills. Skill 1 will reveal any nearby hidden traps; traps will reduce your speed to a crawl and drain your endurance, so it is always a good idea to proceed only while they are visible. Skill 2 heals yourself and any nearby allies, while Skill 3 heals you and stealths you for several seconds. Skill 4 will knock down any nearby enemies, and Skill 5 is used to launch a siege shot, which should be reserved only for bonus targets.

Once transformed, you should proceed west towards the first set of flags. Follow the loop around counterclockwise, avoiding any traps and giving enemies as wide a berth as you can — it is best to just ignore them as you can easily outpace and outheal them. Use Junundu Siege or Junundu Smash on the bonus targets as you pass by.

Once finished, you will be awarded a rating (Time Evaluation- Bronze.png Time Evaluation: Bronze, Time Evaluation- Silver.png Time Evaluation: Silver, Time Evaluation- Gold.png Time Evaluation: Gold) based upon how quickly you completed the course. In addition to gaining credit towards the event, completing the race will award the Junundu-Wurm Certified achievement. If you complete the course and hit all of the bonus targets, you will be awarded the Junundu Master Certifiction achievement. Bonus targets can be destroyed with both Skill 5 and Skill 4.

Dialogue[edit]

Event start
Professor Dalan: Avoid the threats and complete the course. Bonus grade points if you take down targets along the way.
Professor Dalan: It's test time. Take the reisn of a junundu wurm and demonstrate your prowess!
Professor Dalan: If you fail to earn enough grade points within the time limit, expect to be flunked!
Professor Dalan: Now begin!
During event at the Vehtendi Academy
Jamell: Excuse me, do you have a moment?
Randomly during event
House Ingene Cadet: Maximize speed, minimize inefficiencies, eliminate targets...
House Ventura Cadet: (huffs)
House Rolic Cadet: (huffs)
House Ventura Cadet: (huffs)
Professor Dalan: Avoid the threats and complete the course. Bonus grade points if you take down targets along the way.
House Ingene Cadet: Nothing a bit of quick decision making can't overcome.
House Rolic Cadet: Never underestimate my ability to improvise.
House Rolic Cadet: I'm unstoppable!
House Ventura Cadet: Strength, bravery, Ventura!
Completing a round
Professor Dalan: The cadets are impressed with you.
Professor Dalan: Satisfactory progress.
Completing the race
Professor Dalan: That was smooth handling. Good work.
Getting downed during the race
Professor Dalan: That looked painful.
Event failure
Professor Dalan: Cadets, your performance today was appalling. You've all failed. Spectacularly.
Professor Dalan: Pitiful. Were it solely up to me, I'd expel you all for such disgraceful conduct.
Professor Dalan: Fortunately for you, our benevolent lord believes in second chances. I expect significant improvements next time!
Professor Dalan: Now, let's return to the academy at once. Move, cadets!
All Cadets: Yes, sir!
One of the following exchanges
House Ventura Cadet: Ventura can always improve.
House Ingene Cadet (1): House Ingene will prove the better worm wranglers today!
House Ingene Cadet (2): House Ingene always turns its failures into successes.
House Rolic Cadet: It's too early for learning. Or too late. What time is it?
Or
House Ventura Cadet: Ventura can always improve.
House Ingene Cadet: I trust the rest of you reread "Gemara's Thought > Patterns of the Worms Colossal."
House Ingene Cadet: House Ingene analyses every session, regardless of outcome.
House Rolic Cadet: When am I ever going to need to know how to make a wurm roll over in real life?
House Rolic Cadet (2): Just listen to the two of you babble. Take a lessed from House Rolic, and relax.
House Ventura Cadet (2): Respect the junundu, or you're find yourself digesting in one of their stomachs.
After running back to Vehtendi Academy
Professor Dalan: Dismissed!
Event end
House Ventura Cadet: Say what you will, but Ventura looked great out there.
House Ingene Cadet (1): I trust the rest of you reread "Gemara's Thought Patterns of the Worms Colossal."
House Ingene Cadet (2): Win or lose, we're never finished learning.
House Rolic Cadet (1): When am I ever going to need to know how to make a wurm roll over in real life?
House Rolic Cadet (2): Today's result definitely calls for a party.

Notes[edit]

Occasionally, the Bonus Targets will fail to recognize attacks from your wurm and will not knock over, making it impossible to complete the Junundu Master Certification achievement. They may also fail to despawn after the event ends. Switching to a different map may help.
