I took the current page from GWW as this is an important page needed on any wiki really. — Eloc 07:26, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

anyone else geting a 503 error?[edit]

just wondering if i am alone in this 503 error madness- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 00:44, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

I suspect they're doing the second update for semantic mediawiki - i.e. fun extensions. errors errors everywhere Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 00:48, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
they are doing something I keep getting:
"Error 503 Service Unavailable
Service Unavailable
Guru Meditation:
XID: 1825756792
Varnish cache server"
which makes me a sad panda when I am in the mood to edit I want to edit.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 00:53, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
Yeah I was going to confess to poke that I've produced a working version of gwwt for this wiki. >.> 77.97.208.117 01:10, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
I get the despised "Varnish cache server" message only when I'm trying to make massive edits after some hard work. At least it goes away after a couple minutes.--Relyk 04:16, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
It's Saturday. The web/tech team doesn't do installs on weekends. This was unrelated to new extensions, which aren't happening anyway. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 04:25, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

StringFunctions extension - #pad:[edit]

{{#pad:Ice|5|x|center}}

{{#pad:Ice|5|x|center}} ^ from the mediawiki example. I'm wondering why it seems to be completely disabled. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 22:32, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Because pad functionality has been integrated into MW as magic word functions.
{{padleft:Ice|5|x}}

Great, thanks! -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 08:51, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

#replace[edit]

How am I supposed to replace a string like: No extra<br>item with a string such as No extra item?

I've tried to use #replace as listed on mw:StringFunctions##replace:, but by using

{{#replace:My_little_home_page|_|<nowiki> </ nowiki>}}

(without the space in the closing nowiki tag) I get:

Mylittlehomepage

Which isn't what I intended, and isn't what was indicated by the example as the result (which should be "My little home page"). Any ideas as to what to do for such a case? (clearly parserfunctions wasn't an exact functionality match) -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 11:26, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Parser functions eat space characters, you should put a html entity, like &#32; for whitespace:
{{#replace:My_little_home_page|_|&#32;}}
My little home page

I'm storing the output of the replace as a semantic property, so when I query for it, I get the raw html >.> (not useful in this case) -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 11:54, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Where's your example? Sounds like a previous problem where {{PAGENAME}} is returning the raw html.--Relyk ~ talk < 13:31, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Instead of using br tags, restrict the width of your columns? —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:47, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
People already use br tags in the SDRH template, alex had code for column width at one point but don't know what happened to it. Maybe have a bot run through?--Relyk ~ talk < 13:50, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
The problem was that it looked stupid as hell with restricted column widths. I did it in a fairly cackhanded manner though so perhaps I could improve over my previous attempt. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 16:44, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Recent changes atom feed[edit]

I hadn't clicked on the atom feed button shown from recentchanges in a while, but its showing the following message:

[574fe842] 2013-12-07 18:02:58: Fatal exception of type MWException

I don't recall if it worked previously (i.e. not sure if its a bug, or just that it can't be accessed with a browser), but it doesn't appear to work now. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 18:04, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

That’s a known bug, and already fixed and prepared for the next update. poke | talk 19:09, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

JavaScript visible on the Super Adventure Box page[edit]

I was reading up on Super Adventure Box and when I tried opening the account unlocks section I saw that some JavaScript leaked into the content. 45.21.49.218 02:08, 30 March 2023 (UTC)

The gw2 API is currently experiencing some issues, likely related. ItVictor (talk) 02:53, 30 March 2023 (UTC)

Specter - Siphon / Rot Wallow Venom[edit]

Wiki page of Siphon doesnt show the increased cd of 25 seconds in wvw/pvp

Rot Wallow Venom is currently bugged and looses its ICD when applied by more than one specter. (like Necros "Demonic Lore" used to) Brotmann (talk) 17:38, 15 February 2024 (UTC)

Not a gw2wiki bug. Simply an ingame behaviour that is not written down on the article yet. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 18:01, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
