Account names with weird glyphs and symbols

Should we implement an abusefilter rule that only allows a rational subset of ascii? (e.g. 0-9, A-Z, a-z, plus a few accents (grave, acute, circumflex, omelot)? We have a process called a request for adminship, or RFA, which is basically a referendum on whether a particular user would make good use of admin tools. We haven't had one in a while though. - Felix Omni 16:16, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

No, first you have to actually have to create the RFA page. Upon which part two is to put your name in the page correctly. Though there's honestly a lot more before that. I think I was the only one to nominate themselves, the rest were by others, or at least as of the last 8 ish years. - Do_odleplex 21:28, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
