Guild Wars 2 Wiki:Requests for widget editor rights

Embedded scripts and stylesheets can be found within the Widget namespace of this wiki. Because of the potential high impact effects of accidentally breaking high-traffic widgets, the namespace is locked by default. Widget editors are users that are granted access to edit articles within the Widget namespace. This page is to request editing access to that namespace for yourself.

To request editing access, make sure you have registered an account on this wiki and are logged in. Then add the following to the top of the list below, replacing the indicated parts:

Hey,

I am trying to set up daylies and weeklies tables for the wizard's vault. As there are 42-49 combinations of gamemodes and expansions active, just implementing all tables on a page would create a table scroll of doom along the page.

I already asked single admins about adapting the filter table widget, but they replied that it may be better to write a new widget for this usecase, and I'd agree to that.

As i did study coding and software engineering in university myself and got some experience in JS and CSS too, I'd try it out myself when :I got spare time, instead of just asking other ppl if they might got time for that - if i am allowed to get widget creation/edition rights granted.

Even though I still must admit that I am not experienced in coding for a mediawiki environment and never did code a widget before.

Alternatively - I know widget requests do belong onto another page - I would then request a new widget that would make a dynamic filter possible of 1. any desired combination of PvE, PvP and/or WvW amongst 2. choosing a single choice of combination of expansions - ideally to improve site performance it would be best if there was a posibility to make non-filter-fitting tables only load when displayed.

Hi Altair! Thank you for taking an interest in helping out the wiki, especially in sorting out the dailies and weeklies. I'm generally reluctant to give out certain rights to newer editors, but if you're going to be working on a new widget rather than modifying older ones, I see less chance for accidents spilling over.

No actual reason for the moment, although I have had some ideas on past that I couldn't try (the daily widget was one iirc). But I would like it to be up to help with it whenever is needed. I would like to fix the Widget:Daily achievements to display the little coloured corners again because i really liked them. I would do that using the earliest schema version that provides the requiered product conditions again (?v=2019-05-16T00:00:00.000Z). I would already have a purple corner ready for upload for Path of Fire requiering dailies too (would as such only need to be protect like the others are then).
