Graster Beakerbane is a charr located in the west portion of the Hero's Canton. He provides entry to the Belcher's Bluff activity and possesses the signature move For Science, which increases the percentage of health gained from your next Water, and, upon his defeat, will become available for future Belcher's Bluff activities.

Walkthrough[edit]

Behavior[edit]

  • His  Drink (Belcher's Bluff).png Drink will cost 20% of his health.
  • His  Water (Belcher's Bluff).png Water will restore 10% of his health.
    • With  For Science (skill).png For Science, it will restore 40% of his health.
  • It appears he never uses  Bluff.png Bluff.
  • It appears he never uses  Belch.png Belch.
  • He will always take moves in this order:
  • He will start to use  For Science (skill).png For Science when his health is low.

Player Strategy[edit]

  • Always use  Bluff.png Bluff unless your  Belch.png Belch is under cooldown.
  • Use  Belch.png Belch once he uses  For Science (skill).png For Science, and his expected next move is  Water (Belcher's Bluff).png Water.
    • Prioritize to use  Drink (Belcher's Bluff).png Drink and  Water (Belcher's Bluff).png Water whenever your  Belch.png Belch is under cooldown. Recharge it as fast as you can.
      • Do not use  Bluff.png Bluff in this state. That'll not recharge your belch.
    • Do not use  Belch.png Belch when he doesn't have  For Science (skill).png For Science.
      • But you can use  Belch.png Belch when his health reaches below 25%, and his next move is  Water (Belcher's Bluff).png Water. That will be a finishing blow. (regardless of his For Science)
  • Signature Skill  Woo.png Woo is effective against him, but defeating Maddie to get this skill is extremely difficult than defeating him.

Dialogue[edit]

I'd put your chances of winning a game of Belcher's bluff at zero percent.
Talk ready option.png It's on.
Talk ready option.png Can you tell me about the other masters?
There I've sent you a pamphlet that describes our order and locations.
Talk end option tango.png Thanks.
Talk more option tango.png What is Belcher's Bluff?
Belcher's Bluff is a game of determination and deceit. Drinking this vile substance is detrimental to your health. Drink as much as you can, but be careful: whoever loses their stamina first concedes the match.
Talk more option tango.png What are we drinking?
Raw omnomberry juice, chilled to sour perfection. The omnomberry grows only in Orr and is disgusting until cooked. Heat removes the toxins, but chilling it- oh, it makes for an entertaining game.
Talk more option tango.png I can bluff?
To win, you'll have to! You can fake a sip, but if your opponent catches you... well, that's another challenge entirely.
Talk more option tango.png They can punish me?
Let loose a fearsome belch, and you punish an opponent who's not drinking as they should! Just be careful- once you belch, you'll have to drink three more times before you can belch again.
Talk more option tango.png Can I drink anything other than juice?
Water is allowed, but only every four turns. If you can get away with it, it can put you ahead of the game. Additionally, it counts towards your drinks and your ability to belch!
Talk end option tango.png I get the gist.
Talk end option tango.png I'll be back.
