[edit] Wikipedia
We need to set up interwiki to link to Wikipedia, sort of like on GWW.
- Reason
- Very useful for trivia sections and anywhere else to linking on Wikipedia.
- Possible pitfalls
- Umm, there are none? — ク Eloc 貢 22:30, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Um, wikipedia:Main Page? Lord Belar 22:37, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Bump? Could we get it so your can interlink like GWW by just using W: at the beggining of it? — ク Eloc 貢 15:40, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- These too, please :) --

[edit] Website logo
On GWW, the logo looks like
, while here on GW2W, it looks like
. Could we get the logo here changed to something better and more Guild Wars related? — ク Eloc 貢 00:09, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- I think Emily said they were creating a new GW2W one; check her talk page on GWW (or archives). --

[edit] Delete Gw1:Guild Wars Utopia
- Reason
- The page exists at a currently invalid page name, it cannot be accessed, however it still listed in Guild Wars 2 Wiki:List of candidates for deletion, Guild Wars 2 Wiki:List of candidates for deletion and Special:Allpages, sysops cannot delete it.
- Possible pitfalls
- Probably none, however there is a potential complication: it may be necessary to temporarily disable gw1 interwiki links in order to access and delete the page in question.
It's only a nuisance, but it would be nice if this was added to the to do list. -- Gordon Ecker 04:37, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- It seems that it has been deleted. --

[edit] cite.php
- Reason
- Inline citations would be useful for articles which draw from a large number of sources, including FAQs, lore-related articles such as Charr and pre-release articles.
- Can also be used for inline footnotes.
- Possible pitfalls
-- Gordon Ecker 00:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- And "pre-release articles" would also include articles about unreleased Guild Wars 2 expansions after Guild Wars 2 is released. --

- I second this request (if that makes any difference at all).-- Shew 01:22, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- References are important for the credibility of the uncertain GW2 information summarised by the wiki. So I also support the addition of this extension. -- Aspectacle

- Based on the discussion from the GWW, I think the general consensus is that it would at least benefit this wiki.-- Shew 22:40, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- Since this was accidentally installed on the GWW, it's already up over there (oops). I've been told that you'd like it up on this site, too, so I will put in the request to get it installed here. --

[edit] Make creation of a redirect page for moved pages optional.
I'm not sure exactly what is involved, but I think I saw something about this discussed over on GWW.
- Pro: Less work for SysOps since a lot of delete requests are a result of useless redirects a.k.a. move remnants.
- Con: May be subject to abuse, but what isn't?

[edit] LoopFunctions Extension
Allows the processing of repeated template parameters. In particular, it makes the processing of lists of related items more manageable.
Note: This is not the same as the Loop Eetension. LoopFunctions are particularly suited for handling sequences of template parameters that make up a list. They are a not programming language kind of extension.
- Pro: Makes managing lists of things in template parameters easier.
- It is a standard and tested extension and is less cumbersom than roll-your-own variants.
- Con: Yet another extension to test and keep up to date.
- Irrelavant: There are templates that currently take lists of parameters. These may or may not be candidates for rewriting, but they show how messy it is to handle lists without a mechnism like this.
