Starting from either waypoint, head west from the altar to the plateau with the second hero point. Beyond it near the edge is a chunk of coral, jump down behind it onto a ledge, minding your head. Follow the ledge along and up and east. Jump down at the end into the hole with Ancient animated weapons and the mark.
