The dye manufacturer NPC was located in your home instance and created Unidentified Dyes from Colorful Dye Seeds.
After giving them a seed, the player received a Dye Receipt which could be exchanged after 24 hours. The dye receipt must be in your inventory when you pick up the unidentified dye, which will be soulbound. The dye manufacturer would only accept one seed at a time. Look for them at the cloth bag icon on your home instance map.

- Once the unidentified dye is double clicked and tested for the color, the resulting dye may be traded or sold.
