Walkthrough[edit]

The Viscount attacks normally and has a couple of common candy corn attacks either in a circle around him or in trails in four directions away from it, marked with red circles each time.

However, his most damaging series of attacks is when he starts launching several large candy corn projectiles at every player nearby him, with a huge range. These projectiles will launch you backwards and deal a lot of damage. The trick here is that when he does this he also causes large pools of orange candy goop to appear. Standing in these pools gives players the Vinetender Shield.png Candy Coated effect each second, which stacks on itself up to 10 times. Each stack will absorb a single candy corn projectile so when they appear you should run to them to survive. [verification requested]

However, be warned: accumulating ten stacks of Candy Coated results in a Sugar Crash along with knockdown and immobilize, so players should step out of the pools once they have 7-8 stacks for maximum protection. Basically when he stomps and spawns the goop, run to one and try to keep around 7-8 until they disappear. Players can also use reflects or projectile destruction skills to defend themselves against this, and are very recommended.

Due to the frequency of this attack, do not expect players to spend time reviving you if you are defeated. Instead, waypoint and run back, otherwise you are only extending the time it takes to defeat him by scaling the mob up and not contributing.

If the Labyrinthine Horror comes in during this fight, decide as a group which boss you will focus. The Viscount is a larger threat than the Horror, damage-wise, but has more health, making the Horror easier to kill.
