how is the the weapon attack pattern system supposed to function. To clarify what I mean, in GW different professions attack in different patterns. what I hoped to see, and which I don't know if it will be implemented is a system that have different attack patterns depending on, for example sword types, like if you wield a rapier, your character will make use of rapier movements, or if a broadsword, a katana, chinese broadsword, I mean I know that there are thousands of different sword styles, but some weapons just looks awkward when wielded "wrongfully"

I don't think they'll make different styles for each weapon (Though I would love to use Iaido on a Katana wielding profession) --User The Holy Dragons sig.pngThe Holy Dragons 18:39, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Isn't Iaido the arts of unsheathing, cutting and resheathing the blade though? I doubt there will be scabbards... :( - Infinite - talk 18:49, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Iaido is the art of unsheating and cutting (1 cut will be enough) I've had some lessons over the years ^^ It's awesome! --User The Holy Dragons sig.pngThe Holy Dragons 19:38, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
yeah iado is the art of unsheating and sheating, and there are so many sword styles in asia that it makes my head spin. but it would be nice if they put in some differences, it looks awkward enough as it is when you wield katana in GW or broadsword for that sake The preceding unsigned comment was added by Usernameisapain (talkcontribs).
That's what I said, though. :P I wish they did, but at the same time I prefer videogames to not touch the Katana (it's too sacred to be screwed with!). - Infinite - talk 19:57, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

flash?[edit]

Air Pocket description says you flash to the site, is that an ele version of shadowstep? if so do you think we should add a page for it? Flash (mechanic) Getefix 20:38, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Definition of "ally"[edit]

Many effects talk about allies. For example: "Banners are a warrior skill type that apply buffs to their allies." What exactly is the definition of ally? I think the word needs its own page. Party members are obviously allies. Their pets, probably. Mesmer illusions? Other parties? Solo players at a meta event? NPCs that are participating in an event? Is the definition of ally simply "everything that is not fighting you"? --Triplehammer 19:34, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
