A Transmutation Stone is a consumable item used for transmutation, transferring the properties (appearance or stats) of one item to another of the same type. For level 80 items a Transmutation Crystal must be used. Amulets, rings, or accessories can't be transmuted.

Transmutation Stones are obtained when completing any map, or randomly from the Daily achievement chest. They can also be purchased from the Gem Store.

- Prior to the 26 March 2013 update, Transmutation Stone was known as "Basic Transmutation Stone".

- The inventory icon of this item resembles that of the Powerstone of Courage from the original Guild Wars, while the icon used during earlier beta tests is identical to the original Powerstone icon.
