This article is about the object. For the container acquired as a personal story reward, see Bag of Loot (container). For the container acquired from Path of Fire related content, see Bag of Loot (Path of Fire). For other uses, see Loot Bag.
A Bag of Loot is a bag of loot that drops upon defeating a foe in certain activities. In World versus World, bags appear at the character's position on the ground after defeating a player or NPC. During certain dynamic events, a bag of loot will drop where NPCs turn to allies upon being defeated instead of leaving a corpse, giving a container containing loot scaled to the player level. This method of leaving loot was introduced in Southsun Cove events from the Secret of Southsun release. The bags also drop in place of a corpse under certain circumstances.

World versus World[edit]
- Loot in WvW depends on the level of the player who defeated the creature that produced the bag.
- Loot in PvE depends on the creature that produces the bag, and the area in which it is defeated.
Notes[edit]
- The bosses in The Crown Pavilion boss events would leave loot scaled to the player level, which results in Bag of Loot for masterwork champion loot bag drops.
