"Aurene's Theme"[1] is a recurring instrumental theme composed by Maclaine Diemer which musically represents Aurene. The theme made its debut during Living World Season 3.

Use in Guild Wars 2[edit]

Living World Season 3[edit]

"Aurene's Theme" makes its first, brief appearance in the Rising Flames release in a cinematic which shows Aurene hatching from Glint's Egg. The theme returns in the "Aurene" track when the Pact Commander helps teach the hatchling valuable lessons in Tarir, the Forgotten City in the A Crack in the Ice release.

Living World Season 4[edit]

"Aurene's Theme" returns and plays throughout the teaser trailer track for A Star to Guide Us release which is centered on Aurene and her role as a savior. A darker version of the theme, played in minor key, appears in "Aurene's Fate" track when Aurene shares a vision of multiple potential futures which all show her and her various allies dying in combat against the empowered Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik no matter what they do.

The Icebrood Saga[edit]

"Aurene's Theme" reappears in the Icebrood Saga in several places: first, shortly after Aurene swoops overhead to Brand a corrupted devourer in a minor key, and in the Eye of the North, where a softer, gentler form of the theme appears, played by bells, to reflect Aurene making the Eye her lair.
