Anomalous Form

From Guild Wars 2 Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

The Anomalous Form of a player's race can be created outside their character's body on the chance of jumping through a stable Class I Magic Rift. Jumping with an inactive combination on Class II Rift Stabilizer is the best method to transform since the player will definitely not be teleported and can jump more frequently. The process of becoming an Anomalous Form is also possible with the Class I Rift Stabilizer or a valid combination on the Class II Rift Stabilizer.

Appearance[edit]

Regardless of the player's original appearance, their Anomalous Form appearance will be a default form based on ArenaNet's decision for how the race appears while transformed.
Certain emotes include dialogue that was unavailable to the player before transforming. (example: /threaten on an asura would only create grunting noises. After transforming, the player says, "Come and get some!" in a distorted voice).

Characteristics[edit]

While the player is transformed, some NPCs that were previously non-hostile become hostile. A full conversion list is below:

  • Previous friendly NPCs are now hostile but may have yellow names indicating they are neutral. However, they will aggro if the player comes within the vicinity of them.
  • Previous hostile NPCs are still hostile but may have yellow names indicating they are neutral. However, they still aggro if the player comes within the vicinity of them.
  • Previous neutral NPCs are now hostile but may have yellow names indicating they are neutral. However, they will aggro if the player comes within the vicinity of them.
  • Previous ambient NPCs are still ambient.
  • City NPCs are still friendly.

Note: In addition to being vulnerable to most NPCs, the player is also subject to attacks from other players.

In addition, the player will not have access to any skills, but will still have access to the ability to dodge.
