Walkthrough[edit]

Enter the Funhouse. There are inquests and attack robots inside. Fight your way inside, then turn right. Zojja is in the northeast corner of the map. Talk to her to start the next phase, which is to destroy the incinerator golem, to your southwest.

The incinerator golem can spin around spraying fire out of its arms. Then talk to Zojja about what is happening. She wants you to choose your next mission.

Leads to Political Homicide if you choose to get revenge on Varkk or Stand By Your Krewe if you choose to rescue Pol.

Dialogue[edit]

Upon arrival:

Mr. Sparkles: Zojja—requires—rescue. Must—break—down—offending—door.

Speaking with Mr. Sparkles:

Mr. Sparkles: All—system—tasks—deprioritized—until—Zojja—is—recovered. Please—lead—the—way.
Talk end option tango.png Follow me. Next stop: Zojja.

Fighting the Inquest:

Prisoner: Hey, you! With the ears! How about a little assist here, eh?
Prisoner: Whew. That was close. I was almost a goner...but now I'm just gone. See ya!
Mark I Golem: Unauthorized—exit. You—will—be—terminated. Thank—you—for—your—patronage.
Prisoner: No! I'm too brilliant to be burned to a crisp!
Mark II Golem: Return—to—your—cells—and—you—will—not—be—killed—at—this—time.
Prisoner: Thanks! And good luck rescuing the others. I'd stay to help but I'm...uh...late for a symposium!
Mark I Golem: Intruder—alert. Security—compromised. Destroy—all—unauthorized—personnel.

Cinematic with Zojja:

<Character name>: Zojja, are you hurt? We came to rescue you, but judging from the fire and fallen Inquest, you handled it well on your own.
Zojja: Not quite. It took all I had to get this far and hold them off. I did not want to jump off this cliff. I hate getting wet.
Zojja: They've been testing your teleporter on more innocents. When they're done, the subjects are disposed of with a prototype incinerator golem.
Zojja: When I busted out, their next victim was behind a force field by the stairs. You probably saw him on the way in.
<Character name>: I did. And it's time to get the Inquest to cease and desist...which means let's go smash us a prototype incinerator golem.
Zojja: Done and done. You take the lead. Mr. Sparkles and I will watch your back.

Speaking with your allies:

Zojja: Well, I owe you for the rescue, but don't get too used to it. Before the day ends, I intend to repay that debt.
Talk end option tango.png Maybe the incinerator golem will give you the chance.
Mr. Sparkles: Primary—objective—reset. New—objective—set: destroy—Inquest—incinerator—golem—prototype.
Talk end option tango.png You learn fast, Mr. Sparkles. This way to the target.

Fighting the Prototype Incinerator Golem:

Prototype Incinerator Golem: Alert. Hostiles-approaching. Destroy.
Prototype Incinerator Golem: Damage—report: minimal. Error: damage—report—systems—have—been—damaged.
Prototype Incinerator Golem: Attempting—to—uphold—prime—directive: destroy—all—intruders. Error: intruders—not—complying.
Prototype Incinerator Golem: Engaging—"last—ditch—effort"—protocols.

Speaking with Mr. Sparkles:

Mr. Sparkles: Recommend—you—confer—with—Zojja.
Talk end option tango.png Good advice.

Cinematic with Zojja:

Zojja: That's one less mechanism for the Inquest to exploit the innocent. Now for the bad news: Varkk sold you out.
Zojja: I didn't want to say anything at first—I hate betrayals even more than getting wet—and I figured, hey, you might get killed, and then I wouldn't have to tell you.
<Character name>: Pragmatic, as always. But I can't believe that about Varkk. I've known him for ages, and he's always been loyal to the krewe.
Zojja: Not this time. Varkk is working with the Inquest. How else would they have known about our ambush plans? Why else would they kidnap Pol?
Zojja: Sorry, did I neglect to mention that, too? They took Pol to keep him quiet, and to use as leverage against you. That gives you a tough choice to make.
Zojja: Varkk is slippery, and Pol's in danger. Go after one, you'll lose the other. So tell me, what's more important to you: revenge, or rescue? Whichever you choose, I'm coming with you.

Speaking with your allies:

Mr. Sparkles: Multiple—data—analyses—concur. The—decision—to—save—Pol—or—punish—Varkk—is—a—statistical—dead—heat. Data—and—logic—cannot—solve—this—conundrum.
Talk end option tango.png Then it's down to my experience, inclination, and gut instinct.
Zojja: Your krewe, your call. Save your pal Pol, or take down that varmint Varkk?
Talk quest choice tango.png Varkk betrayed the krewe and tried to kill us. He has to pay.
I concur. His punishment will serve justice, and serve to warn off other would-be villains. I'll meet you in Rata Sum.
Talk end option tango.png Agreed.
Talk quest choice tango.png Varkk's a snake, but Pol's my krewemate. I can't leave him to die.
I can appreciate loyalty. Just don't let people think you're soft—Rata Sum will eat you alive if you show weakness.
Talk end option tango.png They won't. Especially after they see what I do to the Inquest. Let's go.

Speaking with Zojja after making a choice if you decide to take down Varkk

Zojja: Pol better appreciate this...provided we succeed. If we fail, he'll have nothing to appreciate. Plus, he'll be too dead for gratitude.
Talk end option tango.png That won't happen. I'll meet you at the Inquest base.

My story[edit]

Salt in the Wound.jpg

Mr. Sparkles and I fought our way into the Funhouse to rescue Zojja. Once inside, we found she had the Inquest goons who took her either on the run or unconscious, so you could also say we rescued them from her. In any case, we helped Zojja get out of the facility and destroyed the Inquest's vile incinerator golem, into which they had been feeding test subjects who had outlived their usefulness. Then Zojja informed us that our krewe chief Varkk had been working with the Inquest all along, and that the Inquest had kidnapped Pol. I had to decide: rescue my friend and krewemate Pol, or see that the traitor Varkk gets what he deserves?
